Areas of Practice
Ernest has been actively engaged in a wide array of dispute resolution work in the High Court and State Courts, from construction disputes to insolvency matters. He has assisted lead counsels as the second chair in various High Court trials, ranging from shareholder disputes, misrepresentation and fiduciary claims, during which time, Ernest had the opportunity to conduct examination of key witnesses.

Ernest continues to handle corporate and commercial, matrimonial and crime matters in the firm's dispute resolution department, both in the courts and tribunal work (including arbitration).

Some of the matters which Ernest has been involved in include:

. Second Chair in a High Court trial before the Honourable Justice Vincent Hoong in November 2019 relating to a shareholder dispute.

. Second chair in a High Court trial before the Honourable Justice S Mohan in September 2021 relating to a misrepresentation and conspiracy claim.

. Acted in the prosecution of a multi-million dollar insolvency / liquidator's action against previous officers and agents of the company in High Court.

. Acting for both applicants and respondents in numerous adjudications under the Security and Payments Act 2004, most of which high value are claims.

. Advised and acted for an estate of a deceased patient in a medical negligence claim against a public hospital and its treating doctors.
